Get a Sealant

If the damage is quite small or rather a little hole in your gutter, then it is best to get a sealant. These sealants are especially made for these pipes and gutters, and stick well to prevent further damage. It is one of the quickest and easiest methods of gutter repairs. All that you have to do here is read the instructions and then fix the same. Make sure that the size or the chunk of sealant that you use is slightly bigger than the hole. This can help prevent seep through. Also, paste it firmly to avoid it from coming off.

Gutter Patch Kit

Another option here is that you can get a gutter patch kit or even use some piece of scrap metal that is then pasted or glued using sealants or industrial glues. These kits work better for gutters that have a slightly bigger hole, which cannot be covered by a regular sealant. Again, gutter repairs can be done at home with ease, but if you suspect that the kit is not going to sustain the damage for long, you should call a plumber.

Fixing Sagging

Often, the problem of leakage in your gutter is because of sagging - something that is overlooked easily. To fix this issue you should get hold of a ladder and climb up the ladder. Then have a good look down the gutter length. Ideally, the gutters tend to be straight. Many of them have a peak right in the middle which enables the water go up towards the downspouts that are there on the other end. You should be able to observe the spotting with ease. Using loose hangers or even using a hammer or some cordless drill can treat this.

For this gutter repair use some long prop that would reach the 1x4 or 2x4 brace and reach under the sag. Then get on the ladder again and remove the hanger or push it even more near this sag. Check for sighting along the gutter. You should keep adjusting the brace till the sag tends to vanish. Then replace these hangers. If you want you can use more hangers to fix the issue as they are not so expensive.

• But if you demolish your property and you intend to extend your building which can get extended to other’s property, then you need to make an additional building plan and get it approved by the authority.
